What is a particle?

 

Particles are prepositions  used as conjunction (connecting words)  with another word to form a new one. 

 

It is Similar to phrasal verbs. Words like in, off, up , by, along, down, forward, under are used as particles.

 

e.g.   She went away, we will talk over the problem,
